I have an EVGA GTX 660 2gb gddr5 and I want to overclock with out causing it to die in less then a year lol I already have EVGA precision x so if I could use that t would be sweet :) please give me some walk through the process please or just specs on what to put everything at :)

Its all looks these days

Every card is different. Put the core as high as it can go without artifacting. Then increase the voltage until the temps are too high. And again increase the core until it artifacts. Voltage and core and mem are really the only things to worry about.

random spots or lines, mostly just being unstable.

No, not really. Just experiment. There is no manual on this...

Slide the clock offset and mem offset by 50 each. Then test. 50 again. then test. when it doesn't work, increase voltage until the temps are too high. If it still doesn't work when the temps are too high, reduce the clock and mem. you can also increase power and temp target to try to make it stable.

When it artifacts or when the drivers crash. Making the voltage higher can help prevent this but also increase the temperatures. If you crank the voltage too high the card will run too hot. When the card is running hot, if it is still not stable, the you need to drop the core and mem back until it does work.

So basically slide everything till it works lol Also could this break my card??

NO. DO NOT SLIDE IT RANDOMLY. Just turn up the clocks slowly until it doesn't work. Then increase the voltage until it is too hot. If it doesn't work then, turn the clocks down. Stop at a reasonable level as well. It should not break your card unless you let it run too hot or crank the clocks like 300 mhz without proper cooling.

Every card is different. Go up by 25 or 50. shouldn't go higher than 87 really but it can go to 95.
