Did you just remove the old card and put in a new one, no reinstall of windows?
If so use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to fully remove the drivers and install them fresh after that.

GPU upgrades without a thorough cleaning of the old drivers can result in system crashes

by the way how do I do this exactly, do I just download it and launch it and then delete it all? And after that where do I download drivers again, is it just via the nvidia app where I download the game ready drivers?

Hello I recently upgraded my pc and ever since I did I have been crashing more times than I can count. The crashing only happens when I play games and not when Im just browsing or whatever. The type of crash is that both my screens go black and I can't get any picture on them again until I force restart my pc. When the screens go black I can still hear all the sound from what I was doing and I can also still talk in my mic and people can hear me, anyone got any clue if my GPU is broken?

It appears so, my gpu is now "the oldest" part in my pc, I got this gpu in August and first installed it on my old parts and I think it was last month or the one before that when I swapped out every other part but I don't remember doing any reinstallation during any of those swaps so it very well may be the issue I will try it out and see if the crashing continues. Thanks for the suggestion at least and I might come back to the forum later today or another day with an answer if it worked or not!

Right could be worth noting as well that the gpu is the only part of my build that was bought from a private person instead of brand new
