Alienware gaming mouse weird behavior

Have had this issue for a while, im at my wits end before returning and getting a diff brand

 

I have a brand new alienware pro gaming mouse. After 2-3 days of use, it now only works when plugged into a power source. If it's not plugged into any power source, all the mouse buttons work, but the cursor only moves if im holding down a mouse button. Also, even when it's plugged into the PC I can't set the polling rate to 8000hz like I could the first couple of days. 4000hz is now the maximum. I've tried charging it for a whole 8-10 hours and still nothing.

 

I've already tried rolling back drivers, updating again, uninstalling drivers and reinstalling, re-pairing the dongle, and nothing works
