Hi everyone, I need an advice on upgrading my setup. I tried digging into the topic but I'm still unsure about some things.

So for the context, I have epson tw6250 projector that I use mostly hooked up to my laptop through hdmi. I have need thinking about buying a soundbar for it.

The problem: projector has only one hdmi port (arc). So I dint know how to bypass the problem of hooking up my computer and the sound system to it.

Solutions I have been considering:

-bluetooth, I am worried about the latency though. Has anyone tested this?

-audio out port, is it a viable option. Does it have drawbacks?

-i head that it is possible to set up a passthrough like computer->soundbar->projector. Is it possible? What should I look for to make it happen?

I would be thankful for any advice on the topic.

I would get an affordable home theater receiver and connect my computer to the receiver's HDMI input, and then connect the receiver's output to the projector. Then buy bookshelf speakers (any price tier is fine) and make whatever sound setup you want.

I recently made a 3.0 setup at my desk.
Mac Studio -> receiver
Windows gaming PC -> receiver

Apple TV 4K -> receiver

Receiver -> primary monitor

Mac Studio -> secondary monitor

I LOVE accessories4less if it's available for you.

With regards to the speakers, you use whatever you find like Facebook Marketplace. If you can find some "Andrew Jones" Pioneer speakers selling for less than $80 then you've struck gold.

Thanks for the suggestion! One small question.

The cable length from projector to receiver in my case would be around 8-9 meters, I heard that hdmi is good up to 10 but with that setup it would be 2 cables, one 10m from projector to receiver and one from laptop to receiver. Is it a problem or the limitation is on a length of a single cable?
