Internet keeps dropping while playing games

Hello!!

 

So I have been having this problem where my internet disconnects me from every game I play for a split second at random times. I will be playing the game perfectly fine and there will be no indication of any lag (my internet is actually good) and all of the sudden I will lag out of the game. However, when this happens, I do not lose connection in discord or streaming services for some reason. The internet comes back after a few seconds and I am able to restart my game and rejoin the match. This is a very very very annoying issue and I am not sure the cause or how to fix it.

 

My PC is hooked up to an ethernet cord straight from my modem. 

 

Also, I see this happening on other devices that are connected through wifi, however when watching videos or TV there is no sign of it because it drops and comes back so fast.

I have tried running ping tests while I play games to see if there is any indication of a ping spike and I have had no luck noticing anything.

 

I have had Xfinity come out to my house a few times, and they don't really understand the problem and it is impossible to just replicate while they are here. The disconnects happen at a random time.

 

If anyone has any idea what could be happening or has had the same issue before, I would appreciate any kind of help!!
