Hi,

 

I wondered if part of my ridiculous storage configuration can be powered through the third party chip on my motherboard or more spesific, the ASMedia ASM1061 controller. I have 6 sata 3 ports from the Intel chip and 2 from the ASMedia. I will run 3 SSDs and 4 HDDs. I've seen that the ASMedia controller is a bit slower, but can I run 2 of my HDDs in RAID 1 of the controller?

I searched around and found out a HDD would never exceed the speed capasity of the controller.
