So I got some money, and wanted to get more ram for my pc. Tried to pull out the ram, but couldn’t. The power supply was on, but the pc wasn’t. I have successfully unplugged and reseated the ram. No display is showing up on my monitor. Could I have damaged the motherboard or ram? RGB is running, along with fans, but it’s just not showing up on the screen. I’ve also tried unplugging/plugging back in the HDMI. There’s also a red light coming from the bottom of the motherboard

I can't tell what motherboard that is, but I can pretty confidently say that's not the right spot for a single-stick of ram. Look in your motherboard manual for the right slot. There should be a diagram like this one, which again might not be right for your motherboard (but worth a shot).

Also, turn off your power supply before moving it, there are power rails that are active even if the PC is off.

I had it in the DIMMA2 spot after I reseated it, but changed it after that didn’t work either

With the PSU flipped off, I would re-install the original RAM (in the correct) slots and see if it works. It's a very bad idea to do anything with the motherboard while the PSU is powered on. It's safer for you, your components and the motherboard.
If it does work, I would return the RAM you purchased as I'm (presuming) you use that computer for gaming. If you do, using one stick of RAM cuts the bandwidth in half and severely impacts performance in most cases.

If you want to upgrade the RAM (assuming the old RAM does indeed work), you'll want to purchase a set of RAM that comes in the same package for your motherboard and replace the old RAM with the new RAM.
For example: 2x 8GB is better than 1x 16GB for memory bandwidth performance because the CPU IMC will be able to run the memory in dual-channel mode.

There is approximately a 117% chance I edited my post.
