Is my SSD dead?

A few days ago, I was reinstalling Windows on my ssd and all was going normally at first but Windows was staying at 0% for a very long time so I turned my computer off to try again. When I turned my computer on, my ssd was no longer recognized in my bios and want recognized by a separate computer as well.

So did my ssd just bite the dust? Or is there something I can do. It is a Samsung 840 and only about 8 months old.

can't u rma if it's 8 months ? also have you tried changing cables what not?

Did you try to find your SSD from within the operating system of your secondary machine, or just from the bios?

Not in the bios on 2 machines means it bit the big one

Maybe leave it without power for a day or 2 and hope it fixes itself? Doubt it will work but you could try it.

Yeah, I'd say it's probably dead. Since you still have warranty on it, you should probably just send it back.
