Budget (including currency): 1500 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming, but also as my general workhorse. My gaming preferences tend toward high RAM use.

Other details: I currently have a Linux build that I have been using since 2014, with an GPU upgrade. NVIDIA RTX 2060. I have been debating not buying a GPU for the new build and using the 2060 for a few more years to invest more in the CPU/RAM for the new system. I am going to be pulling the drive from the old system with OS and all my files.

Instead of 300$ PSU you could get AM5 system and waste less money.

GPU is also like 100$ extra for 0-3% more performance, there's other GPU models with similar aesthetic, if that's what you're after.

Or just get better GPU overall.
