CAST DEVICE FOR TV?

So my studio's vocal booth has a vertically-mounted display in it that used to have a mirrored twin attached to my studio PC, so I could put a client's lyrics up in the booth for them. This got to be quite tedious as I spent more time scrolling their lyrics in time with a song for them instead of dialing sounds and keeping tabs on meters, and that was actually affecting product quality going out the door, so I discontinued it. The screen has been disconnected for a while now, but I've had some inquiries into getting it back up and running. Wanting to satisfy client demand without sacrificing my ability to do a quality job, I am considering a device that would let iOS and android users alike (I get a fairly even mix of both coming through the door) cast or otherwise mirror their phone's displays to the display in by booth. That way, they can put their stuff up the way they're used to seeing it, and can control it on their own end. The device would need to be able to plug into the HDMI port of the display, and be set to automatically run the display in a vertical orientation. Basically, I want a non-tech savvy person to be able to hop in the booth, cast their phone to the display, and get to recording their takes.

TL;DR

Seeking HDMI cast device that:

• Sets connected display to run vertical orientation
• Works with iOS and Android
• Easy to set up and fast to connect for clients
• Won't lose its setings in the event of power outage.

 

What sort of devices are out there for this and would make for the easiest experience for clients? Not really concerned about budget but not looking to spend more than I really need to.

Google Chromecast with Google TV, maybe Apple TV...

Worked in testing, hot garbage in deployment.
