Hello, I just finished building a new PC and after installing win10 everything worked fine so I let it download all updates. After a while it just reset (you can hear a click when it resets) and anytime I would type a password on a login screen it just reset again.

I tried installing the Windows and this time I downloaded HWinfo and not a single time did the CPU go above 40c. But again, after aprox 15 minutes it reset and I'm back to the same thing as the first time.

I tried reseating the ram and made sure all the wires are connected, but no luck.

I have made no changes in bios.

Booting into safe mode works fine.

I attached a video showcasing the issue.

here are the specs:

Hi. The fact that booting into safe mode works just fine tells us this has to do with something operating in a more advanced mode than default drivers allow. But, this could be due to extra power draw, so the PSU is not out of the suspect list yet.

The prime suspect would be the GPU. In safe mode, uninstall the GPU drivers. Turn the PC off. Open it up, take the GPU out of the PC, put it back in again (AKA reseat) and boot back up into normal mode - your should get a low res screen just like with safe mode, but perhaps only for a moment. But, if you can then get further in logging in, we know it is either the GPU or PSU for sure. Install drivers just in case you just fixed the issue with the reseat.

Where is the click coming from? The PSU? It might be the GPU is pulling too much power. Double check your power cables for GPU at both ends - make sure plugs are stitting square and are fully inserted.

You might not find the answer until you can test with another PSU or GPU. It might be that the PSU is making the PC restart, but it might be doing so because the GPU is pulling more power than it should or because the total system draw with the GPU kicking in is too much for the PSU. I would have gone with a 850W, but a 80+ Gold unit should serve you fine. Unless you have spares, trying a new PSU will be cheaper - get a 850W and try it out, but don't cable manage - if it behaves the same way, return the PSU for a refund and put the 750W one back in.

Doing the same with a GPU is a bit more pricey - if you have an old one, try it out (remove drivers first), or if you have a good buddy who trusts you, maybe they will lend you their card for long enough to test.

Good luck - this is gonna take a while, probably. Try not to get too frustrated!
