just connected his system with my gpu to my tv (his is ancient) and it boots no issue. about to try slapping it back in my system to see if it works. when i turn on my pc everything comes on, lights, fans, the works. the ram and cpu pass, it just gets stuck on the vga light. i really hope it's just an issue with his tv.

Just hooked everything up in my system and plugged it into my tv and it worked perfectly with no issues. literally just the tv i was trying it on was too old. Glad it turned out to be something simple tho!

ya kno i need someone to help... sorry cldnt resist. so i bought a micro center bundle and new gpu to pair with it. included in the bundle:

-asus tuf gaming b650-plus wifi

-ryzen 5 7600x3d

- 2x16gb g.skill ddr5

gpu: power color radeon 7700xt hellhound edition. ran me about $900. it wont post and the white vga light is on the motherboard. i've tried everything from switching outputs, running off cpu graphics, switching ram, pulling out 1 stick of ram, even tried putting my old gpu (1050ti) and nothing. trying a bios update tonight and seeing if we can route some more power to the system. running off a 750w psu btw, planning on upgrading it soon. it wont show a display on my tv at all and the light wont go away. i have plans to go back to micro center tuesday but the closest one is a 5hr drive (one way) from where i live. any help at all would be greatly appreciated. happy thanksgiving to those that celebrate it and thank you for your time.

Do you have a friend that has a working system u could test the gpu on?

yes my boyfriend is trying it on his, it still doesn't want to work. the gpu not working makes me think its a psu issue, but when i take the gpu out of the system and it still wont work it makes me think its a mobo issue.
