For the CPU, what temperature sensors/numbers are the most important to watch? The die, the ccd, the cores, the iod... there is so much.

I have only looked at temps and frequencies when OCing or Undervolting.

 

I can't care less about anything else, people get too in the weeds.  Sure, looking at some minute voltage may lead you to reduce that voltage, but it's usually when you OC something else or do another thing. 

 

There's usually no benefit to looking at all the sensors unless you're having an issue or problem.

What CPU are we talking specifically? Regular Ryzen or 3D v-cache?

 

Temperatures also don't matter in a vacuum, its dependent on the wattage draw and boost clocks as well. In general though, focusing in on boost clocks on most Ryzen CPUs is more useful than even looking at temperatures and wattage since its ultimately what will directly affect performance.

The CPU is a Ryzen 9 9900X. It's a new CPU, new mainboard, new RAM, and new 360 AIO. No manual overclocking, no voltage changes, etc. I did set the CPU to something like "performance" in the BIOS OC Tweaker and the RAM is set to 6000, I will have to reboot and review that after I post this. The system already outperforms the previous i9900K CPU (it was overclocked to a constant 5GHz) and produces far less heat. I am not going to "overclock" beyond what already is. I am just trying to make sure I have enough cooling. 

 

@agall what data line in HWiNFO shows the boost clocks?
