I personally don't use any Fedora-based distros, but I do know it's a well-documented kernel. It's a matter of curiosity and experimentation. Don't be afraid to accidentally brick your install, too. Oh, and don't use ChatGPT for tutorials: It's unreliable.

Don't tell me to upgrade. I would've done so if I could.

Just wanted to switch things up. Nothing too deep.

I, and the other near 100 users I've done installations for, use Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop. It is a bit like Windows except it is logical, easy to use and reliable. Reliability is completely different from Windows which is just a disaster and why many have changed to Linux in the past few years.

There is a very good discussion forum for Mint and any problems you have will be answered.

Fedora is incredibly stable and also have great documentation. It is in my opinion a great first distribution, especially a variation that aims to make things easier with much working out of the box. And let's face it, most documentation from forums and wikis will be helpful for them.

Strong opinions on unnecessary topics.
