Good morning everyone, I just upgraded to a 14700k from a 12700k. I have an msi z790 pro p WiFi ddr4 mobo. I did my bios update and set the cpu to Intel default settings. While doing cinebench I noticed my temps get up to 95c which my 12700k never did. Also I saw the voltage spike to 1.42v I’m not sure if that’s normal or not. During idle my temp is around 30-40c and during gaming it’ll be between 60-70c I have a Corsair h150i 240mm aio is that enough cooler or should I upgrade to a

360 aio? What other settings should I mess with for the cpu to get a longer life out of it. I’m terrified of the degrading issue

I'm just going to say that even a decent 360mm AIO would be in trouble cooling 253W load.

Would suggest to under-volt and/or lower CPU power limit.

How do I go about doing that? This is my first build im so new to this stuff. I have the default Intel settings which limited the wattage to 253 watts. It only gets that high when in cinebench it gets no where near 253 watts while gaming even in games like city skylines 2 and flight simulator.

And if the system is unstable, rise the core voltage by 0.01V until it's stable. After each step run some stability test like Cinebench.

OCCT is not a real life test, so that's why I'm recommending Cinebench instead. OCCT uses AVX instruction set that for some reason lowers core clocks on my 14600KF too after overclocking CPU over 5,4Ghz.

I’m only using OCCT to monitor temp, usage, wattage and voltage I use cinebench for the actual test
