Just Got 280x (drivers)

So I've booted up comp, and it downloaded drivers straight away without doing anything. . . my previous card was a 7870, so is that it now, are these up to date drivers for 280x?

Go to guru3d, download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and the latest Cat driver.....14.6 (if you want to play Watch Dogs that is). Usually, I do a simple driver uninstall via Windows control panel, reboot and run Driver Sweeper to clear out whatever that remains. DDU does all that in one simple step.....after rebooting, install the latest driver and enjoy. I have a HD7970 (your R9 280X is a rebadge of it) and I have no issue with Cat14.6....

Yep, just ensure that you have either Win7/Win8.1 64bit or 32bit OS. If you are on 64bit Win7, make sure you download the 64bit driver for your card.

Weird, I have the HD7970 and it doesn't have an issue with Valley......wait, before doing anything else, have you tried some games with the 14.6 Beta v1.0?

Exactly, sometimes, certain config be it hardware or/and software can mess up a perfectly good system. Bear in mind the 14.6 driver does raise the GPU core temp by 3C - 5C, be sure to have good airflow and this should not be a problem. Try some other games and see if it works as it should, don't be too concerned about Valley and other synthetic benchmarks, to me, as long as all games run well w/o BSOD's or hardlocks, the driver's gold to me.
