Need Laptop Recommandations

I've been thinking about getting a laptop recently since I'm about to start university. I'm not big into laptops, and I don't really know what to get or what to look at. I know that I want something portable, good for school, at least 512g of storage, pref windows os, maybe some light gaming like league of legends. My budget is around $500-$1000. Any recommendations would help thanks!

I personally use the Lenovo LOQ,it has 512GB storage and 16GB ram, they are both expandable so if you run out of capacity you can upgrade later.

It has good battery life and I do game in it on and off.Pretty good laptop,I have been using it for about 3 or 4 months ,no issues.
