Try this: (third post down, about re-starting the service.)

http://www.ozzu.com/mswindows-forum/logical-disk-manager-disabled-t66778.html

Could be just that it was disabled by accident. I customize my services, I have accidentally switched the wrong one off before. :)

ok thanks that worked now how do i make the partishon bigger there is like 5 gigs unalocated

No problem.

You cannot dynamically add space to a drive in Windows XP without erasing the entire drive, that functionality didn't come along until Windows 7. (I spent a long time looking when I was on XP and just gave up, there are third part software(s) that allow you to do it but, it's a risk that is solely up to you.)

You can take a look at this thread, but I really don't know if it will work on XP:

Good Luck. :)

Er, you can mount that empty space onto another partition so you can have a 4GB drive for something. xD

Other than that, just leave it as empty space i suppose. :)
