PS5 Pro Disassembled!

The cooling seems to have more heat pipes, and with more direct heatsink, so in theory, it should dissipating heat more efficiently and quicker, so it my be quieter as well. 
 

The APU seems a bit longer than PS5 too but without direct comparison it’s hard to tell. VRM section looks a bit different, but it’s the same amount as base PS5, but maybe better quality for much higher price, so it may have less coil

whine, but not sure about that.

 

In Portugal, they have Foxconn 19 blades fan in Pro, it seems like it is redesigned for Pro, as PS5 fan won’t fit, as Pro is a bit smaller, but also higher slightly than regular PS5. So bad news if anyone will get noisy NMB (if such exists still), and will have Delta or Foxconn from PS5 to replace. 
 

And the last PSU, also redesigned, due to higher power draw APU. It’s thinner and larger than regular PS5, lets hope it won’t have Coil Whine as well

 

 

So basically there are some improvements here and there, but we have to wait for some noise tests while gaming and idle state. They maybe said it’s quiet on video when they have been checking the storage capacity in the Pro Menu, but it’s different thing when you listening the fan in load environment, than in quiet bedroom or living room.
