Connecting multiple controllers to PC

Anyone has experience connecting multiple controllers to PC? I tried a few different Bluetooth adapters (usb, pcie) and connecting more than 1 controller is always unstable..

 

Here are the things I thought of so far to connect multiple controllers to my living room PC:

 

1. Getting controllers that have a USB 2.4ghz dongle, such as the 8BitDo ultimate C.

 

2. Using Xbox one controllers with the Xbox wireless adapter for PC. It apparently can connect upto 8 controllers simultaneously.

 

3. Didn't research this much yet, but I found on Amazon some wireless adapters that promise the same that the Xbox adapter does, but it also claims to work with different controllers and even different consoles, such as the PS5! Is this true?
