Budget (including currency): 3000€

Country: France

Games: From Cyberpunk to Overcooked passing by undertale (from nasty AAA to 8bit indy or chill multi)

Programs / workloads: VSCode with various languages (JS, Python, C, C++), Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender

Other details : I'll be doing a serious refresh after nearly 11 years. Right now i'm running a 4770k with a noctua nh u12, a GTX980Ti from EVGA with hybrid cooling, an Asus Sabertooth mb (cant recall the chipset), corsair vengeance 16g DDR3 and a corsair RM 850 in a fractal design define R4

Monitor: LG CX OLED4k

I already did a ITX build in the lian li PCTU100 for a friend wit a short GTX970, si i'm not completely new to ITX build.

I want to downsize because space is now needed where i live and I want the ability to move my computer around my flat more easily.

I know it might not be the best time with all the tech news so i came here for advice.

RGB is of no importance to me

Initial plan was to build a new pc with a 4080s, the Asus pro art is my first choice for size and price.

For the case i finally settled for the LianLi H20 case because its available and a "decent" price compared to FormdT1 or NCASE M2 plus I basically gave up trying to get one in the color i want (always restocking) and custom taxe is brutal here (20%)

Next is no surprise for ITX, corsair sfx 750 plat, not sure if i need to go to the 850sfxl gold, is the wattage room enough to justify the space taken in case and less efficiency ?

And here is the main part I'm having a hard time deciding for the CPU MB RAM STORAGE part, with the known issues about 14th intel gen, I'm used to intel CPUs but if Ryzen is the best choice here, why not, from what i gather, the 7800x3d is the best for gaming but can it handle the workloads i'll be throwing at him?

Since it's also gonna be used for work I was thinking going the AIO route and call it a day but there are so many choices now I'm a bit lost since i never had the opportunity to use one.

For my old PC i did not really put much attention into Storage and I know NVME and N.2 storage looks awesome but need to be chosen correctly to perform at its best.

Consider using fr.pcpartpicker.com for local pricing and availability.

A memory kit with EXPO profiles would be better than one with Intel XMP profiles.

The GPU manufacturer recommends an 850W PSU.

Thx, I did not know about the regionning for partpicker

And ths also for the RAM recommandation

I thougt that the "psu recommandation" were usually inflated by manufacturers, plus i read that a lot of build with 4080s draw around 650 at most, do you recommend the 850 just in case or because the rest of the parts could draw more than anticipated ?

for the ssd is there a particular reason for the samsong pro ?

Multiple reasons for suggesting 850W. If there is ever an issue with GPU or other component support, they can't say the system is out of spec. The cost difference between 750W and 850W is not significant. Finally new GPU generations or upgrades may be more demanding.
