It may also run hotter and  impact reception, given the antennas will be pointing up instead of down.  Plus one of the main reasons for ceiling mounting is its above most furniture which helps with reception.

Typically ceiling mounted APs can also be wall mounted too, but again it can be worth considering where you are trying to beam your WiFi signal and what obstructions you are likely to hit between the AP and the clients.  Where and how its orientated could make a huge difference to the signal strength and speed you will get.

Do you notice any issues if you are for example on the same floor and near the same height as the wap or slightly below it?

 

Since I'm not sure of the antenna placements and what space it can reach, its fov basically.
