Potential VPN or Remote Connection

I want to setup a way for me to connect to my home router when I’m not at home. I’m traveling for a few days and I want to know how this could be achieved. More specifically how I can use my home’s IP Address as a Server for the VPN for my phone to connect too.

Does your router's firmware support hosting a VPN server?

Does your router get assigned a public IP address or is your ISP using CG-NAT?
