whats going on here?  I have tried everything including taking it apart and trying one at a time.  although i did get her to start BUT I had the heatsink off...  anyway havent seen light before or after.  replaced the cpu, tried ez flash and so forth.

amd 5950x

crosshair viii x570

like i literally tried everything!  just straight 00's!

probably unlikely but check whether the CMOS battery is dead or not. had the same issue and after disassembling, thoroughly cleaning and reassembling everything it was just a dead CMOS battery 🤦‍♂️

Not sure, but on most motherboards I worked with I think the 00 means ok to go.

yep tried that, no avail - although i would say it could be helpful to others as ive looked online to find a variety of "off the wall" fixes.... most of which result in replacing the motherboard 😕

ALERT ALERT YA'LL I FOUND THE SOLUTION!

I WAS USING A 45 degree adapter and after all the troubleshooting and, well, fen-aggling, turns out i jacked up the 24 pin on my motherboard!

yeah not really something to be happy\excited about but, its an answer!  I just replaced it with a 5950 yesterday (i couldnt get a 5800x3d so, meh) and was surprised when it didnt fire to life!  ironically on a whim i had struck up convo with an uber driver an hes like, well.............

so i pulled out that pretty part from amazon and sure as it would be, f*ing copper pulled off!  little wiggling, boop she tries!!!!

now its just a matter of getting all the crud off and operational again!  omg omg omg so excited to get my rig going!  thanks ppls!  ill rate somebody awesome!
