Affinity designer problems

Hi! So how do I merge multiple curves into one but in a way that Affinity will think the whole thing is made in one go. Because look when I try to insert a photo in the curve, the first one is made in one go and the second is made from multiple curves combined together. Look what the photo does in the second one. Why does it do that and how do I fix it?Ignore that the second one, the image is only in the inner curve that’s on purpose. But look at all the white spaces and stuff. Why and how do I fix this?
