Current have 2 supermicro servers, one 36 drives the other 24. ZFS pools and Samba.
I think I like to cluster those 2. (Not sure how)

I like to add a ssd server too to set up tiering to the other servers.
They are connected through a 40gbps switch and nics, I want high speed file storage.
Any suggestions

A 40Gbps Ethernet connection may not catch up with even a single M.2 SSD running on PCIe 4.0 x4, and may become the bottleneck between SSD arrays and clients with beefy SSDs. A more feasible solution would be to install SSDs onto one of the two servers, as they generally have a bunch of PCIe lanes and slots available; if PCIe slots (not all possible lanes) are insufficient, consider PCIe bifurcation in BIOS and a compatible M.2 riser card. Since I have little experience on such a large scale in hardware, that's all I could suggest.🤷‍♀️
