Asus Impact Problems: A2 & More!

Ok so currently this is happening:

With only the impact mb, a 4770k, 1 stick of 16gb 1866 ram, and the h100i, a 256gb sx900 ,and a RM650; When I power on it will power up until it hits 79 on the qcode then flash 00, and proceeds to power off. After about 2 seconds it will power back on and power up and then get stuck on A2. And the qled led is on boot device. I have tried with my hdd a barricuda 2tb 7400rpm. And a different sata cable. And a different sata power cable. And a different sata port on the mb.

Before this started to happen I had problems with random shutting off and sometimes it would reboot other.times it didnt. And before that I had problems where when I power it on it would power up for a second and power off in a half second and would cycle like that every 5 seconds till I turned off my psu.

Sorry for errors typed on.my phone.

Update: I have just flashed my bios with no luck, problem still persists. Does anyone have ideas?

are you using Qconnector?, for me reset pins were contacted to bottom of my case witch caused it to restart every 5 seconds.

Not currently and the mb is on a box not in a case.

79 is CSM initilation, which have something to do with network, is your enthernet cable connected?

Also have you pressed clear CMOS?

Also try holding F2 down and pressin F1 while booting.

Can you take a picture from your MoBo?

You need to have audio card and that other thing installed, install both expansion cards and tell me if it helped. :)

Installed both and same thing. Also contacted Asus customer support and they think I should send it in for repair so I guess I will do that. I have never rmad anything before so any advice/things I need to do.

So this:

o Do not include any accessories as they will not be returned or replaced. Customer is responsible for shipping expenses if requesting item(s) to be returned.

§ User manuals, software, original box, I/O shields, retention mechanisms / brackets, stands/bases for display products, CPU mounts / brackets

§ Non-ASUS products such as: CPU, Memory, After-market Heatsink / Fans, or other components, memory cards

Basically means put an empty mb with cpu socket protecter in an antistatic bag rapped in bubble rap in a box?

You haven't got another stick of ram you can try? Borrow beg or steal from a friend.

I have the other stick that goes with that one. And it does the same thing.

00 is not good.

socket error or faulty cpu

take off heatsink\waterblock and remove the cpu.

do not plug in HDD \SSD

try to post with No CPU installed.

you should still get 00 code, but not the on\off loop of death.

use only 1 stick of ram, try both slots.

carefully inspect the socket for any bent pins.

put the cpu back in and place the waterblock on top, do not fasten waterblock, hold it down and try to post once again.

yes you can, you really dont need thermal paste to do some quick tests.

remove the paste once you take of waterblock.
