New PC build cannot get display from GPU

So I just started upgrading my old build. Well I got everything installed and just to test I booted up just using motherboard display. After that I went ahead and installed my old 3080ti because that's what I'm using for now and it is definitely a known working GPU. Well as soon as I install it I cannot get display off of the motherboard or off of the GPU itself. So just looking for a little help on what I may be doing wrong or need to check. Also whenever I take the GPU out it goes back to letting me have display off the Motherboard.

MOBO: MSI Z790 MAG Tomahawk MAX
CPU: I9-14900k
GPU: MSI Ventus 3080ti
1 TB Samsung 990 EVO in M.2-1
2 TB Samsung 990 in M.2-2
6TB WD black HDD
64gb Corsair Vengeance ddr5
PSU: Corsair RM1200X Shift

Try defaulting the BIOS using the onboard pin. I have had MSI boards that will not seem to adapt to any changes until I defaulted the bios. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

Question, are you using a Display port cable or HDMI. Sometimes DP has to initialize and it can be funky sometimes. HDMI is hot swappable. Also is it possible the port went bad on your 3080ti, have you tried different ports on the GPU. I know this sounds like a long shot, but have you tried the lower pcie slot, sometimes PCIE slots can be DOA. This is also another strange problem that I had. My Aorus FV43u monitor that i have literally would never display something until i hard reset it, I resolved this issue by updating my monitor software. You could also make sure your monitor is up to date if it has software capabilities. If you are using a riser cable, is it Gen 4 and is it set to gen 4 in the bios. If it isnt, sometimes that could cause a no signal as well. I hope this gives a few options to try. Let us know.
