I need advice and help on how to fix my wife’s computer. She tried turning it on this morning and it wouldn’t boot and popped up with the rcraid.sys failure and I’ve never seen this before, so I did a little bit of research and found the "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc /scannow" method tried that and it wouldn’t work. Her computer won’t boot in safe mode and I’m afraid to try a whole system reset because I don’t think it would fix anything. her motherboard is a prime X570pro with a Ryzen 7 3700 X. I figured since I can’t even boot into safe mode there’s no way to try to update the drivers. i’m officially what feels like at a dead end.

I suspect you might have multiple drives running in RAID. rcraid.sys is a amd raid controller driver and it has either gotten corrupted or outdated. Also what does the motherboard debug led lights/codes show? Have you updated the bios yet and can you boot into the bios?

I just performed the bios update, it restarted tried booting up again. The boot light on the motherboard was yellow, and it failed to boot, and the CPU light turned red.

Stop code: SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED

i’m able to access the bios, but I’m not sure what to change.
