Why dont you buy a cheap seagate momentus or something?

I would go with a better brand such as WD and Seagate. Also you can get a 1TB drive for about £10 more: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1tb-seagate-st1000lm024-momentus-25-95-mm-sata-ii-3gb-s-5400rpm-8mb-cache-12ms-with-ecoseek-ps-3-com

uk its not for me im putting it in an old hp 550 for dad both my gaming and laptop have 1tb laptop the same model you suggested and

1TB Seagate ST31000524AS

Hitachi aren't very well known in the consumer market,

but they're extremely successful in the enterprise

sector, their drives are perfectly alright (the differences

between HDD brands these days when it comes to reliability

aren't really significant). I'm not really familiar with

the drive you linked. Presumably it won't be super fast,

but it'll do the job.
