Weird audio behavior

I’m having some weird issues in games where for example In beamng drive if I sit and let my car idle the volume will turn way down but if I hold the car at redline the volume will get progressively louder.this happens in Forza as well as Minecraft and Star Wars empire at war.this seemed to start happening only after I installed my new to me Radeon 6700 the audio is playing out of my tv so through the hdmi connection.Im not even sure where to start but hopefully this is some setting I can change
