So I have had issues with laptops that could not authenticate IP address and have been able to resolve them.

This one however is giving me a migraine.

The laptop (Dell Latitude 830) can access, with it's wifi card, the internet just fine at my house and other places.

Yet if I take it to one of my friends house it can not authenticate the ip address even though there are other wireless devices connected to the network just fine (ie iPad and another laptop)

I tried a usb wireless adapter but even that "broke" after a while.

Thoughts?

Can you post a dump of the 'ipconfig /all' command?
