I assembled my first Gaming RIG in the middle of last year, and wanted to upgrade my CPU. Here's my current list of parts:

 

CPU: Intel Core I3 12100F [Socket: LGA 1700]

CPU Cooler: Mugen 5 Rev.C Black Edition

GPU: XFX SWFT 309 AMD RX 6700XT

MOBO: ASROCK H670 PG Riptide

RAM: HyperX 32 GB 3200 MHz (4 X 8 GB Stix)

Storage: 2 TB NVME SSD

PSU: RM850

Monitor: ACER 21" 60 Hz

 

I'd like to run the games above, and others like it, on high settings at 1080p 60 FPS. I'm hoping that a CPU upgrade will help.

 

Besides gaming, this RIG is used for very casual internet surfing (youtube, reading news articles, shopping, etc.)

 

What would y'alls recommendation be for a new CPU? My current system is fan-cooled, and I'd prefer that be unchanged (i.e. I would like to stay away from CPU's that have to be watercooled). 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
