I'm thinking of buying a Sapphire Radeon R9 280 Dual-X (do no suggest a different card, not the purpose of this thread) graphics card. However, it had 1 major fault, it's got one ugly ass blue PCB. So I was thinking of hiding it with a backplate.

Question is, aside from getting a custom WC kit for it (which seem to often come with the back plates), is there a store (EU preferred) that sells custom backplates for GPUs and how much would those cost (technically it's not going to be worth it, if it goes above $40-50 mark, cos then I can just get a different brand R9 with a back plate attached)?

EVGA do, but they are Nvidia only.

I would suggest looking on eBay to see if anyone is selling overstock of backplates for watercool kits, or call a retailer or two and see if they can order you one from the waterblock manufacturers with their next order.

Could also try the manufacturers themselves if they are are located somewhere that speaks English.

Sweet!

I'm guessing the HD7950 back plates should fit, right? Or the 280X?

I also found http://www.coolingstuff.se who sell EKWB solutions and they have this in stock.

EDIT: Actually ColdZero seem to do requests, so I can get a plate from them no matter what. Thanks a bunch @Bagmup !
