Game Streaming Client Build

I'm looking for any tips and suggestions hopefully from real world experience. Have any of you built a set up for this?

I think I should clarify that I intend to stream the games from my current build to this new build so that I can play couch games in the living room.

I'm totally getting a shield, but my roommate works for nvidia and he hinted at a shield 2 so.....maybe the waiting game. Plus, I'd like to take advantage of the large TV in my living room.

I wish; he can try to get me a discount, but he mainly works with their storage and servers for the actual engineers. He said there was a time when samples just lied around for the taking. That time is no more.

the sheild can do up to a 4k output and it is dependent to your rig it streams from, but shield 2 will be good, and the shield can console to your tv

Totally, it is the cheapest option, and comes with the ability to go full mobile. But, ill have to tether to my TV with a super long HDMI cord, (hdmi ugh) and I won't be able to use my preferred gamepad (dual shock 4).

i believe you can use a Bluetooth controller withe the shield, and you can just sit it under your tv and steam by that, i suggest shield but that is just me

 

also how would you be able to use the controller in your living room if your pc is in your room

I'm pretty sure bluetooth is mostly working with dualshock 4 and pc. My apartment isn't very big. You are right though. The shield seems like a really good option for my gaming purposes. I should have mentioned that I would also like this mini build to handle all living room media as well with PLEX.

well if you just want to stream not really game the i would go mitx i3 4gb ram 256gbssd rig and get a sheild 2 also
