Brightness isn't adjusting.

Go to solution Solved by DarkEnergy,

I am bot exactly sure what the problem would be sorry.

I fixed it....somehow. I installed regular windows display drivers instead of the intel hd one. That didn't fix it so I went back, but the screen was stuck on being dark so I did a hard restart and it works. I have no clue.

I just got a tiny tablet/laptop because I needed a laptop but the brightness won't adjust. It adjusted before but I think maybe after installing updates or something it won't adjust. Basically when I try to change the brightness I see the small black graphical brightness level thing but when using the keys, the level won't go above or below a certain point. When I touch it it does allow me to bring it down but the screen's brightness remains the same. When I press the key again it's at the same level as before. How do I fix this?

If you go to the control panel you can see under hardware and sound there is an option called "Adjust commonly used mobility settings" and you should be able to do it there.

It does the same thing. I can turn it down but the actual brightness doesn't change. When I press the brightness key the level goes back up.
