Good day!

i have problem with video playback on Floatplane when watching in 4K. The video stutters and than skips a bit the whole time, and i dont think its a problem on my end to be honest. I added a video so you can see what is happening.

And just in case, those are my specs:

CPU: AMD 2700X

GPU: RTX2070

RAM: 32GB @3200 Mhz

Got a gigabit internet connection

Even if you have gigabit internet, can you do a speedtest.net test? Slow internet is usually the cause of problems like this. Also check task manager for things slowing down your PC.

That PC is great, it shouldn't struggle playing 4k at all!

I dont see any strange behavior in task manager

I see that my upload is not what it should be but that wont matter for video streaming. I also see that there is a part buffered in the video but it still freezes/skips a bit. This only happens in 4K, if i go to youtube in 4K i dont have any problems

Strange, maybe a floatplane thing, is there a support email?

Having the same issue. Playback works fine for some time, but periodically studders. 1gb fiber service, Speedtest.net shows 630/500 (over Wifi 6E). Have tried refreshing, which doesn't seem to resolve. Switching to 1080p seems to fix it.

I know this is an old topic, but this has been happening to me as well for a while. AMD Ryzen 3800X and GTX 3080 w/ ~400mb internet. It seemed to have started happening after a video driver update, but further updates hasn't fixed it. This is despite trying both Chrome and Firefox. Is this still happening to you guys?
