Hi everyone, I've tried my best to try to find a solution to my problem online but nothing has worked for me.

My quad-cast s has issues when launching games and also when streaming on discord. for games, I will launch cs2/dota 2 and there will be a loud pop in my ear. after a few moments of silence where i cannot hear anything the audio comes back but much louder than before and inverted(my right audio comes out of my left ear and vise versa). I have a pair of earbuds connected to my quad-cast but the behavior is the same if my output is different.

The second issue is with discord streaming. every time i start discord streaming (any kind, application or screen) there will be a loud popping noise and then i will not be able to speak or hear anything. and this behavior continues every couple of seconds making it impossible to use.

Things I've tried:
switching USB ports
looking for more up to date software
upgrading to windows 11 ( funnily enough i did try POP OS! and it worked way better than i expected but I play cs on face it and cannot run anticheat on linux)

thanks for the help

if anybody finds this thread in the future this is the solution that ive found. i needed to update my motherboard BIOS in order to solve the issue. AMD boards needed an update that included more USB compatibility in order to function properly with USB devices
