Budget (including currency): $1500-$1700 (the actual max is $2000 including the monitor)

Country: U.S.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Multiplayers Fortnite, Apex, Valorant, counterstrike and also more "visual" games like cyberpunk, starfield, soulsbornes, etc. A little bit of coding but nothing too crazy.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This is my parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cX99pB

I am trying to fit the entire build in the Cooler Master Qube 500 flatpack.

I'm trying to buy everything in a couple days.

I would like the build to run 1440p at 180+ refresh rate on most of the non cpu/gpu heavy titles.

I do need a monitor included if y'all have any suggestions for a good 1440p (maybe 240Hz) monitor.

I am open to all suggestions and since I'm a noob a little explanation to each suggestion would be appreciated 🙂

Pretty good build. The only two things I'd consider changing are the memory kit and the motherboard. The memory kit is because a TeamGroup kit with slightly better specs (tRCD 36 vs. 38) is $2 cheaper. The motherboard is because I'm personally not that big a fan of the B650 TUF's feature set for the price. The B650 Aorus Elite AX is a little better featured for cheaper, the B650 LiveMixer is also quite a bit cheaper with a similarly good feature set for just $150 (admittedly the aesthetics of this board are divisive to say the least), and the B650E PG Riptide is also a good option.

As for the monitor, I'm probably the last person you'd want to ask about that, so I'll leave that to someone else.

As far as I can tell looking at the spec sheet, the number and type of RGB headers. There might be some small under the hood changes to the VRM and memory topology for slight improvements, but practically speaking I'd treat them as the same board and get whichever version is cheaper.

Thank you for all your help. I just have one last question. Should I get the 4070 super for $600 or opt for the 4070 Ti super at $800. Is there much of a difference that it's worth the extra $200?

If it’s at all possible I’d recommend amd if you aren’t doing ai or Uber heavy rtx. The 7900 gre is ~10% faster than 4070 super, and is the same price. The 7900xt is 100$ less and just a tiny worse.

Both can make sense, though the 4070 Super IMO makes more sense out of the two. If you want more performance out of your card, going for one of the AMD competitors makes more sense, since the 7900 XT is slightly faster on average than the 4070 Ti Super for $100 less. Realistically, the only Nvidia cards that make any amount of sense are the 4070, 4070 Super sometimes, and the 4090, everything else is priced too weird to be practical compared to AMD's offerings.
