I have noticed the indicator lighting up when I wasn't speaking and my friends have heard what they describe as(and I agree) to be what sounds like ATC radio communications or something similar coming through my microphones at random times. I have tried to wrap the preamp and the microphone to see if that helps to cancel out a little bit of the noise to see if thats where it is coming from but didn't seem to change much. I have an AT2020 microphone with a Focusrite scarlet solo preamp that connects to my computer. It is a USB-USB-C from the computer to the preamp, and then XLR from the focusrite to the microphone. I have swapped out the cable for a Sweetwater Pro-Co XRM-10 cable to try to fix it when I originally noticed it. I have also put some ferrite beads around the cord to attempt to get rid of it as well, but also to no avail. Any assistance would be of great help as I have run out of ideas on what could actually be causing it anymore.

I know what it's like to be consumed by a problem.

What I can say is that the XLR cable should be removing anything balanced with the mic and cable.  It would have to be picked up by the mic itself and transmitted on a balanced line.  Which is completely out of the realm of possibility.  For the mic to pick up VHF signals and turn them into audible sounds is almost impossible, something would have to be specifically engineered to do that.  It's not going to happen on accident.

Given a history of listening to my bed spring's.... I can say that wrapping thing's is a step towards crazy.  All I can say is ignore it and move on.  There is nothing you can do to stop EMI from being a thing, it's all around us and nothing can stop it.  Attempting to do such a thing is an effort in futility.  Learning to be at one with the world, the way it is, is the number one goal of accepting this world that we live in.

I'm a little drunk+ and am reading this through a historic manor, I know what it's like to hot glue mosfets on your computer because of such a thing.  If this is a swing and a miss then so be it.  I spent years overclocking and breaking my machine only to be paranoid.  There is a chance that this is just a normal person experiencing legit EMI but I would rather take a swing and a miss.

Audio go Brrrrrr

Yeah I am a real person, and really have no clue. I wrapped it just to see if maybe that could help anything. I mean it doesnt affect me that much but my friends playing games with me will mention it with references towards "the aliens" and I just wish I knew anything I could do to stop it or at least reduce it lol.

I had a customer that was so affraid of RFI that she wouldn't leave her house.  No one could come into the house with anything wireless and when it came time to diagnose their defunct furnace, they wouldn't let us turn the breaker on to test it.  They also spoke of the recent uptick in problems due to the planes flying thousands of feet overhead.  When I hear thing's like this I know that I am uniquely adept at tackling them.  But to most I'm just crazy, and I am, or rather was.  So I know how to defeat that beast.
