Hey people

I'm a QA tester and I need some analytics info for a game I'm currently testing.

Platform: Windows

Game Engine: Unreal Engine

Query: Is there any tool that allows me to check if FSR is working? (FSR 2.2.2)

From eyeballing it... I'm not able to make out the difference and I need something concrete to show for the bug report because anything less would be met with "it works on my system" from the Dev's end. (I do not have access to the editor build). Any tool that lets me see a difference between the levels of upscaling quantitatively would be perfect.

Thanks in advance!

I would look at a relatively fast moving object, an example being the foundry arm printer thing in Warframe's Orbiter that moves back and forth on a linear path. One of the few places where FSR's upscaling was overtly noticeable, especially in comparison to DLSS. It would blur the textures behind it, almost like motion blur.

If you can setup a constantly moving, relatively fast object, you might be able to see if its working or not that way by getting artifacting in Performance mode. In my case with FSR 2.x, it was even in quality at 4K.

Builder/Enthusiast/Overclocker since 2012 with a focus on SFF/ITX since 2014.

The fastest thing in the game is running NPCs which I doubt would be fast enough to leave trails. Anything faster would have an energy trail VFX so that makes it difficult to spot the artifacting.

Nevertheless, I'm gonna try this out first thing tomorrow. Thanks a ton!
