Hi guys,

sorry to bother you with my build, however, despite having some technical experience, I am a little bit over my head here. I'm upgrading from a PC I got in 2013. Since then, I've upgraded the processor from an i3 to an i7 and the graphics card from 660 to 1060 6Gb. However, I feel it is time for an upgrade. I've looked over to PC Part Picker and selected this based on availability on our local online shop https://www.alza.cz/. The final configuration comes to 38 483 CZK (including VAT and all taxes). I've looked at these parts and it seems to me it would run well, however, as I said, not the greatest in all of this. I would appreciate all the help and expertise you could provide on how to change or adjust the build. Maybe some of the things are overkill, others might be bottlenecking others.. not sure. Hope you can help me out here! I would love to upgrade as soon as possible, with my main intentions being gaming, possibly streaming a video creation as well as creative programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud suite etc. The existing PC has been working tirelessly for 13 years and I hope this new one can match that. Thank you everyone!

np, does the brand of your gpu and cpu matter to you? And will you use 1 or 2 monitors?

for the CPU - I've always been running on Intel, however, based on the performance, I've been recommended AMD. But I do not care as much. Same goes for the GPU, don't really care about the brands 🙂

7900X3D isn't worth the extra money over the 7800X3D or 7900X

MSI MAG motherboard is overpriced unless it has some feature you specifically need that cheaper ones don't

The RGB ram is overpriced

The extra performance of a 990 Pro is not worth the extra outlay at your budget

The 4060 8 GB is just a bad card, avoid it. Look at a 4070 Super or 7700XT instead (If you want to stream alot, go for the 4070 Super because nvenc)

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Trust but Verify! I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Please try to be clear and specific, you'll get a better answer. Please remember to mark solutions once you have the information you need. Expand this signature for common PC building advice, a short bio and a list of my components.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.
