Define "overheating."

Are the fans all working and not clogged with dust?

Does it need to be repasted?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

my 2080 super keeps overheating after i started using it a lot for a heavy game like 13 hours a day is it possible that it broke from that or was it a hardware related isue

Use HWinfo to monitor the temps, if you're not constantly over 80c and if your hotspot temp isn't above 95-100c, then it's fine. If you are above 80c avrage constantly, then check on your video card fans, and your chassis airflow. Leave the side panel open and see if it still remains above 80c. If the GPU fans are spinning at their correct RPM and your side panel is open and you're still above 80c, then do a DDU in safe mode and install your driver again. If the issue still remained then you might to repaste the thermal pads.

Just in case you're refering to anything under 80c as overheating, you need not to worry. 80c is occasionally fine as well, but most these RTX cards can sustain a temp of under 80c.

Also your room ambient temp matters as well, make sure you're not living in a furnace.
