It wont work with a usb cable plugged in either ever since the button broke and tape peeled off. I can flip the switch with a screwdriver but it does nothing

No idea what kinda tape you actually meant. Like I said, a pic would be nice.

For the power switch, that should be easily replaced if you know how to do basic soldering, or if you have someone that can help you with it.

I've no idea if doing so will solve the problem or not though. But then again such switch is usually dirt cheap anyway that it's silly not to try.

edit:

If you meant the orange colored tape on the switch, in the screenshot below. That's most likely a kapton tape.

Basically it's a tape often used in soldering jobs because it can withstand high heat.

Because the switch seems to have open slits on it, I'm guessing they put it where they did to prevent dusts / moisture from entering the switch through the slits.

Try contacting Glorious about it, maybe they can send you a replacement switch at least.

Wouldn't know for sure. Both for the whether or not it will solve the problem AND why it doesn't work over usb.

At least not without thorough testing & probing.

My current guess is either something inside the switch broke too, or

only the protrusion broke, you can flip it over using screwdriver, but it only feels like it flips while it's not.

Most likely the first than latter.

Also i sent a picture in that message

I meant the picture of said tape.
Then my OCD made me googled and found a pic of it.
