blackscreen Really Weird Black Screen Problem

b4 anything specs: r5 5600x, asrock b550m itx-ac, 32gb corsair ram, 1tb ssd, galax 3070ti, seasonic focus sgx 80plus gold

My problem occurs when running 3d mark time spy. I have hwinfo and 3d mark open when I start running time spy. Shortly after beginning the test my gpu fans ramp up rapidly and the monitor goes black and says that there is no input signal. However the sounds from time spy are still playing in the background. After waiting for a few minutes the gpu fans slow down and the monitor turns back on to the windows login screen. All of the programs and tabs that were previously running (hwinfo, 3d mark) are now closed. This problem has been bugging me for the longest time and I would appreciate any help!
