Hi There

I have an EVGA SuperNova 1200 P2 power supply in my computer.

For the last few weeks when in games my computer will crash anywhere from a few minutes to an hour after playing a game.

I have swapped out all but my CPU and motherboard with spare parts.

I currently have another power supply in my computer and when i game now it runs fine doesn't crash.

Is it safe to assume it was the power supply seeing as since swapping it my computer runs fine.

Or would swapping the power supply just be hiding the real issue.

Specs

Corsair RM850x was my EVGA SuperNova 1200 P2

Intel 10980xe

Gigabyte x299 designare 10g

EVGA 2080 ti black

8x 16gb g.skill memory - 128gb total

samsung 970 evo plus

I was getting hard crashes to reboots, blue screens reporting whea_uncorrectable_error when i saw blue screen.

It runs perfectly fine not in games just on the desktop for hours without an issue only when getting into games or other taxing software such as a stress test does it crash.

I was able to swap GPU with it still crashing, memory still crashing, boot drive still crashing it wasn't till i swapped the PSU it now runs in games without crashing.

i also swapped the location of all the parts to make sure it wasn't the port the graphics card and other things plugged into.

This is more a sanity test for me before i start the RMA process with EVGA.
