Help me upgrade GPU :)

Right now I have ryzen 5 7600, Asus 1660 super, 6000mhz DDR5 ram.

I whould like to know what GPU upgrade I should get? Either 4060TI or 4070? or other tips (NVIDIA)

I play games like, Fortnite, CSGO, Valorant (mostly CPU based games)

Where im from (SWEDEN) The 4060 ti goes for around 608 dollars to 700 dollars.

If you search on reddit/google about amd radeon and then fortnite dx11/dx11 performance mode you will se many people complaining about the fps drops, this is main reason i whould want to choose nvidia since fortnite is my main game.

What resolution and hz are your monitor running? If it's an old 1080p 60hz you can pick the cheaper one.

But maybe you could wait for a sale after christmas? Mellandagsrean?

Absolutely not, are you serious? 600 for 4060 ti?? That is even more overpriced than on the other places, Ngreedia sells nothing of worth period. You can probably find RX 6800 XT or 7800 XT for the same price with massive performance increase.

ik that AMD is way better price to performance but many say that for the games i play NVIDIA performes better example of this is in Fortnite, Fortnite DX11 performance mode is NVIDIA better but at DX12 Amd is better, AMD performes worse in DX11 many says and also gams are more optimized for NVIDIA i belive

You are completely mislead, the fact that AMD offers way better perfomance for the price more than enough counters a little worse optimalization. 6800 XT is about 30% faster and 7800 XT is 35% now that is for the same price. The fact is that you do not need to spend that much to get about the same results. You had said it yourself, the games you play are mostly CPU bound. I think for your purposes you would be completely fine with 6700 XT level of performance. 4060 Ti is usually sold around 400/450 and that is a bad price already. There is absolutely no justification for 600 price tag.

Pc parts in Sweden are expensive nowadays.

I bought my 4060 8gb for 4290 sek, which is about 420 US dollar at the moment.

The 30xx series have also been phased out from stores already, otherwise I would've bought a 3060 12gb for a much lower price than the 4060.

 

I remember when I bought my 1060 3gb for less than 2000 sek. It was before the 20xx and the 16xx series had arrived so it was quite new back then....

are you really gonna play fortnite on dx11 on a card which can run it 200 fps+ on dx12 though? you even said it yourself that the amd cards perform better on dx12.

amd also has fsr2.1 and its just about as good as dlss, raytracing performance on the other hand is super crap on amd side (at least compared to nvidia in some demanding games like cyberpunk). at this moment in time, RT is just a fad, i tried it on my friends computer and i was extremely underwhelmed. a 6800xt or 6700xt should have the same performance of the 4060 with rt though cause that card isn't particularly fast. the 40 series also has frame generation which is suuuuper cool, but all in all i would side with AMD cause at 600$s you can get much better raw performance on team red

I prefer to play on Dx11 because of visual advantages

Bear in mind that European prices always include sales tax. I can't remember the Swedish tax rate but in Denmark it's 25% and we do have similar systems
