'Underclock' bad ram

Hi all, 

I tried searching the forum, but couldn't find a answer to my query, so created an account to ask. 

 

I've started noticing issues with my pc, which I believe I have narrowed down to bad sectors on my ram causing instability when using xmp overclocks (multiple blue screens with different stated causes, game crashes etc). I have 2x16 3200 corsair vengeance rgb. Is it possible to overclock this to get more than stock performance, but not quite to 3200, or should I just look at replacing the sticks? I'm also upgrading from Ryzen 3700x to 5800x3d, which I've heard doesn't improve as much with faster ram.

I would definitely return it, if its still under warranty, if not then ig you can just create custom overclock profile, with the speed that you want

If it isn't stable at the rated speed I wouldn't trust it.

It's definitely outside of the 2 year warranty unfortunately. Might replace it with regular corsair vengeance, as it has a limited lifetime warranty if I can't get a stable overclock.

If it were me, I'd replace it. I'd maybe do some more testing to see if it's stable at lower clocks and if so use it in a lower performance build at some point.
