Im looking to get a 4090 and prices are wild per usual so if im gonna get one I want it to be the best one I can get while not being crazy(no water cooling), which one is the best,  I had my eyes on the ROG Strix but idk. Or should I wait for the 50 series with the new leaks or get a 4080.

I currently have purchased a 19 14900k, 64gb ddr5, EVGA Supernova 1300 gt, ROG Maximus Z790 Hero, ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 420, Crucial T700 2TB Gen5 , and the case is a Lian Li 011 Dynamic Evo XL. I do a lot of coding, web dev, full stack dev, video and photo editing, streaming, and gaming. Im trying to go wild here if you couldnt tell.

50 series likely won't release until late next year at the absolute earliest. The rumors recently have been suggesting an early 2025 release.

The upcoming cards from Nvidia are the "Super" refresh, from the 4070 Super to the 4080 Super, but current rumors/leaks for the 4080 Super show it being a very minor improvement. No extra VRAM, only about a 5-10% increase in CUDA count. Nothing worth getting excited over.

If you want the Strix, its current $2000 price actually makes it one of the cheapest options right now, and it is a very good model.

If you care at all about value, you'd wait to see if you can snag the occasional 4090 card that shows up around the MSRP. They do show up from time to time still, but they generally sell out at that price within a few hours.

I would just wait for a msrp one

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

You've gotten all the most expensive stuff one can buy (short of a Threadripper and a Quadro 8000 GPU), why don't you get a 4090 ?

It's only $800 more than a 4080... 😛

So other than the strix are there any others you would reccomend?
