I bought a new CPU, a Ryzen 7 5800x, which is compatible with my motherboard. B450 tomahawk max. However, I didn’t know I needed a bios update so I took the new cpu out and put the old one in, but now it won’t boot at all, it was working perfectly fine before all this happened. I reset cmos and it didn’t work. I don’t know what to do, please help me

If all you have taken out is the cpu then double check the pins on the cpu are not bent/damaged..

Did you happen to dilodge any wires at all?

does it turn on? but just not boot?

do you have a any led indicators on the right hand side near the 24 pin power cable lighting up?

One of the pins were bent a little bit, thank you so much for the advice. Bios has been updated and new cpu is installed. Thanks!
